William Junior Whitted

Mr. William J. Whitted, 59 peacefully passed on August 6, 2019.  Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Second New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 3225 Purdie Hall Road, St. Pauls, NC 28384.  Burial:  Goodman Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC.  Visitation:  Friday 1:00 - 6:00 pm.  The family will receive family and friends at 57 Boones Trail, St. Pauls, NC.

God whispered "Sweet Peace" to the Soul of our beloved William Whitted, Jr., who was born May 13, 1960 to the late William H. Whitted, Sr. and Ida Gertrude G. Whitted.

He was educated in Bladen County School System.  At an early age, he confessed Christ and joined Second New Light Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until his health declined.  He was employed with a few concrete companies and Smithfield Packing.

William was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Whitted and sisters, Deborah Burton and Sharon Roberts.

As we move through the great challenges of the days ahead, seeking to find strength and solace, we shall always feel exceedingly blessed that William shared his life with us.

He leaves to cherish memories to: a Loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Pone Whitted;  sons, Donnell Pone and Cornelius Pone; brother, Herman Whitted; sister, Brenda Whitted; mother-in-law, Minnie B. Pone; brother-in-laws, Sherman Pone and Clifton Pone; sister-in-laws, Shirley Humphrey (Jessie) and Gloria Pone; grandson, DeMarion Pone and Jaquan Pone, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
