Mr. Richard Sheldon Gilchrist, 54 of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Friday, January 3, 2020. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 11, 2020, 1:00 pm at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 8354 Barker Ten Mile Road, St. Pauls, NC 28384. Visitation: Friday, January 10, 2020, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Burial: Pleasant View Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC. The family will receive family and friends at 451 Grayce St., St. Pauls, NC 28384.
Richard Sheldon Gilchrist was born October 8, 1965 to Harriett E. Gilchrist and the late Waymon E. Gilchrist. On Friday, January 3, 2020, Richard departed this life.
Richard worked sereval years in factories and ended with construction. Richard Loved family and friends, and if you were close to him you knew when he came around he wasn't gonna be there long.

Gilchrist (Linda), Wilmington, NC, two special cousins; Tyrone Cogdell, St. Pauls, NC and Anthony McDonald, Brooklyn, NY, one daughter; Nevaeh Byrd, Lumberton, NC, She is the Love of his Life!!! Anything For "Coconut", six aunts; Arlene McGirt, Washington, DC, Almae McDonald, Brooklyn, NY, Betty Grimes, TarHeel, NC, Lena Humphrey (Grady), Washington, DC, Lizzy Alford, Miami, Mary Sinclair, St. Pauls, NC, one uncle; Henry Sinclair, Tar Heel, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
