Odell Jeff Richardson

Mr. Odell J. Richardson, 66, of Tar Heel, NC,  passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018.  Viewing, Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 1 - 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Homegoing celebration will be at 12:00 noon Friday, August 24, 2018, Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church, 14743 NC Hwy. 87 West., Tar Heel, NC .28392  Burial, Cedar Grove Church Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC.  Reverend Delilah Washington-Gaddy, Officiating. Presiding: Rev. Stephanie McArthur, Pastor.  Family will be receiving friends at the home.

Odell was born on June 28, 1952 in Tar Heel, NC to the late Willie Sinclair Richardson and Katie Juanita Richardson.

His wife of 39 years, Martha Ann Richardson, preceded him in death.  Odell had two brothers, Merlen and Willie Richardson, Jr. and one step son, Eric Jamell Lewis, to precede him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory; mother, Katie Juanita Richardson of Tar Heel, NC; one step-daughter, Tama Brown (Karl) of White Plains, MD, who made him "Pa-Pa" to Sha'keena Heffney (Maurice) of Fayetteville, NC, and Jeffrey Tibbs ll of White Plains, MD and "Great Pa-Pa" to Ja'liyah Williams, Maedin and Maurice Heffney of Fayetteville, NC; six sisters, Auddie Hearns, Jeanette White, and Naomi Simmons (Rodney) of Fayetteville, NC, Katie Farmer, Cinncinnati, OH, Linda Tyndall (Bobby) of Lumberton, NC, Sonia Hopkins (George) of Elizabethtown, NC; one brother, Larry Richardson of Elizabethtown, NC; Brother-in-laws: Lynn Edwards (Mildred) of Lumberton, NC, Dennis and Claude Lewis, Jr. of St. Pauls, NC, George Lewis of El Paso, Tx, David Lewis of Weldon, NC; Sister-in-laws: Mary McNair (Norfolk) and Mamie Rozier (Scotty) of St. Pauls, NC, Gwendolyn Humphrey (Nelson) of Killeen, Tx; and four aunts, one uncle, along with lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.
