Mrs. Rosa Currence Obituary

Mrs. Rosa Louise Currence, 74 of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

  Graveside services will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, 608 S. Canel St., Rowland, NC. 28383

On Saturday, January 9, 2021, the Lord chose a beautiful flower, Rosa Currence and placed her in His heavenly garden.

Rosa was born on August 26, 1946 in Robeson County, North Carolina

Rosa was baptized and became a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age.  As a member, she served faithfully in many capacities.

Rosa was the daughter of the late Mr. Fred Brown and the late Mrs. Coolidge McNeill, Rosa was the devoted wife of the late Frank Andrew Currence.  She was an amazing mother, stepmother, godmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, niece, aunt and friend.  She loved and enjoyed life to the fullest.  Rosa had a laugh and a smile that brightened any and every room.  She love to spend time with family and friends.  Rosa love working to edify the church both physically and spiritually.  During her life she touched so many hearts and lives.  She opened her heart and home to all.

Rosa leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Sybil McNeill of St. Pauls, NC and LaTonya Robinson of Fayetteville, NC; son-in-law, Federico Robinson of Fayetteville, NC, her dog, Fluffy McNeill, stepdaughter, Andreana McCallum of Lumberton, NC, stepson, Frankie McNair of St. Pauls, NC; god daughter, Sharon Mosses of Daytona Beach, FL; three granddaughters, SiTonja Valenzuela of Myrtle Beach, SC, Zah-Nya and Jah-Mya Robinson of Fayetteville, NC; two grandsons, SaQuann Glover and ShayRon Jones of St. Pauls, NC; granddaughter-in-law, Hillary Floyd of St. Pauls, NC; three great grandchildren, Adrain Valenzuela of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ethan Jones and Nylah McNair of St. Pauls, NC; sister and brother, Betty McNeill and Thomas McNeill of St. Pauls, also nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
