Mr. Milton Best Obituary

Mr. Milton Best, 64 of Jonesboro, GA, peacefully passed on Thursday, June 24, 2021.  Graveside services will be Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at Rockfish Memorial Park Cemetery, 4017 Gillespie St., Fayetteville, NC.

Milton Best was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the parents of the late Reginald M. best and Maggie Nealy Best on November 24, 1956.  He was also the grandson of the late Boyd Nealy and Margaret Lurenda Nealy.  Milton attended and was a proud graduate of Weequahie High School.  After graduating from high school, Milton worked in the security industry.  In addition to this, he traveled stste city, playing pool on a professional level against many greats!  As time  progressed, Milton moved to Georgia to help care for his mother and to assist his sister Cheryl.  Milton also became a help to his brother Calvin Best, who also moved to Georgia. who also moved to Georgia.  Milton was well known for his humble and easy going character, however, many will remember him for being so attentive to his mother during her declining health and being her personal chuffer, often referred to as "Driving Ms. Daisy"

As a child and a young man, Milton attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in North Newark, New Jersey, and Cedar Grove Baptist Church in St. Pauls, NC.  Oftentimes , Milton would be the escor driver for his mother to and from Dixon Grove Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia.  Milton was raised as a Christian and knew God's teachings and family value.  Most recently, Milton testified the goodness of God and accepted him as his savior.  He declared to throw all old things away, to include his past and start new.

Milton had a humble, kind and giving spirit.  He would help anyone he met.  He never met a stranger.  Milton loved to play pool and is well known for winning championship games.  All the way from New Jersey to Georgia.  Milton regned as "8 Bali Sfi7ty".  Anyone who knew him, Milton had a special love for children and the elderly.  He adored his family and especially his grandchildren.

Milton leaves to cherish his memories, one son: Terell Curry (JamillahRobinson), Jonesboro, GA: two sibling; Calvin Best, Ellenwood, GA, Cheryl Best, Rex, GA; grandsons: Nah-Tiece, Temil, Tamir, Kedar, Tacari; granddaughters: Tanasia, Tanylah; great granddaughter, Skylar; nephew, Shaun Reid; aunts; Shirley Mack, Fayetteville, NC, Queen Shelton, Charlotte, NC, Geneva Brown, Hope Mills, NC; Berthea Florence, Columbia, SC; uncles; King Nealy, Columbia, SC, Boyd Nealy, Douglasville, GA; sister/cousin; Gail and Emily; a host of cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
