Mr. James Hill

Mr. James Hill, 95 of Tar Heel, NC peacefully passed on Thursday, June 4, 2020.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Goodman Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC.

Viewing: Monday  1:00 - 5:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel, practicing safe social distance.  Rev. Samuel Richardson, Interim Pastor & Officiate.

Mr. James Hill was born September 5, 1924 to the late Dock and Della Hill.  He was a construction worker in his early years and a retired farmer.  He departed this life on Thursday, June 4, 2020.  He confessed and accepted Christ and joined Second New Light Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his illness.  He was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Hill, daughters Cynthia Hill McDougald and Rosalyn Hill-Williams; his siblings:  Ardine, Leashia, Flora, Freddie Mae, Billy, French and Roosevelt.

Surviving to cherish his memories include:  Linda Young (Cornel) of Fayetteville, Almatha Crawford (Raymond) of St. Pauls, Triesta Melton (Thomas) of Lumberton, and Ruby Hill-Autry (Jimmy) of Tar Heel; two sons-in-law; Jerry McDougald of Tar Heel and Walter Williams of Fayetteville, Grandchildren: Cindi Humphrey (Daniel) of Tar Heel; Cornell of the home; Eric Young of Long Beach, California, Erica Young of Fayetteville, Tamanuel (Julia) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Jermaine McDougald of St. Pauls, Tychicus Hill (Marquita) of Tar Heel, Raphael Crawford (Victoria) of Tar Heel and Tyron Melvon of Lumberton; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister: Beulah H. Parker of Maryland; one sister-in-law; Sarah Hill of Tar Heel; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
