Mr. Jack McDonald, 87 of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Friday, September 18, 2020. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 1:30 pm at Clarks Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC. Visitation: Wednesday 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Jack McDonald, 87, was born July 1, 1933 to the late Calhoun and Susie Willis McDonald in Bladen County. On September 18th, Mr. Jack laid down his earthly body for his Heavenly Home, entering his eternal rest with the Lord, At an early age, Mr. Jack joined Clark's Chapel AME Zion Church where he remained a member until God called him home.
Mr. Jack attended Bladen County School System. He worked many jobs including, 301 Truck Stop, Fayetteville, NC and Ford Motor Company, Lumberton, NC. He was mostly proud of being a farmer. He, Mr. Jimmy Hill, Mr. Carse Rozier, Mr. John D. McNeill and Mr. Lacy Currie would sit under the barn shelter for hours, just talking about their crops. Mr. Jack was a hard worker. Mr. Jack always made sure Mama could pay the bills and that the children had what they needed.
Mr. Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy King Kemp McDonald, Five children: Edith Mae Kemp Hayes, Walter, David, Robert and Dwight Kemp, one grandchild, Shanita Kemp, five sisters: Rosa Spearman, Mary (Mae) Robinson, Easter Lesane, Jean and Annie Mae Robinson, four brothers: Cal Jr., Willie Mac, John L. and Nash McDonald.
Mr. Jack leaves to mourn, two daughters: Bessie Kemp of the home and Panessa Rozier both of Saint Pauls, NC, two daughters-in-law: Annie Ruth Kemp, St. Pauls, NC and Sandra Kemp, Goldsboro, NC, one son-in-law, Donald Hayes, Saint Pauls, NC, two sisters: Emma Mosso, Brooklyn, NY and Geneva (Roscoe) Murchison, Fayetteville, NC, one brother, Frank McDonald, Tar Heel, NC. Mr Jack also leaves to cherish his memories, fifteen grandchildren, several loving great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
