Kermit LaMarte "Puncho" Forrest

Kermit LaMarte "Puncho" Forrest  of St. Pauls, NC passed on May 03, 2018.  Services for Mr. Forrest will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in St. Pauls NC at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 1pm to 4pm at the funeral home  and  at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday May 09, 2018.

Burial will be held at the Glover/Crawford Cemetery.

LaMarte was preceded in death by his father, Willie Forrest and grandparents, Martha and Johnnie Tyndall.

His legacy will continue through his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Shelba H. Forrest; Children: Desmond Humphrey (Sheree) of Fayetteville, NC; Micah Forrest of Durham, NC; Ernestine Forrest of Fayetteville, NC; Gretchen Thomas (Sherman) of Greensboro, NC and Raven Forrest of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Picola Forrest of Charleston, SC; brothers: Randy Forrest of Texas and Forrest Brooks of Boston, Mass., Five aunts: Maxie Holmes, Carol McDougald (Harry), Idelle Bullett and Nora Tyndall, Martha Case and one Uncle Ulysses Tyndall (Verondia), Fourteen grandchildren: Miquis, Alexia, Whitley, Corissa, Chisa, Paris, Michael, Skyla, Ezra, Elias, Ellis, Affinity, Javion and MicahAlexander; a special god sister, Ernestine Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His memory will forever live on with the musicians, vocalists and fans that were touched by the life he lived.
