Mrs. Gwendolyn Mae Bordeaux, 63 of White Oak, NC peacefully passed on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 17, 2019, 3:00 pm at First New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 5146 River Rd., White Oak, NC 28399. Visitation: Saturday 1 - 5 pm. Rev. Obie Worley, Pastor. The family will receive family and friends at 61 Margaret A. Dr., White Oak, NC.
Gwendolyn Mae Bridges Bordeaux, the daughter of the late James L. Bridges, Sr. and Onetea Williams Bridges-Bush. She was born March 14, 1956 in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Gwendolyn departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Moses Cone Health Center, Greensboro, NC.
Gwendolyn joined First New Light Missionary Baptist Church after coming to the White Oak Community. She graduated from Douglas Byrd High School.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish and will be remembered by her husband: Johnnie Bordeaux, Sr. of White Oak, Daughter: Deirdre Ann Davis (Reggie) of Fayetteville, Stepson: Johnnie Bordeaux, Jr. of White Oak, NC, granddaughter: Faith Relena Davis; two brothers, James L. Bridges, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and William H. Bridges (Josephine) of Salemburg, NC; one brother-in-law, James Bordeaux of White Oak, NC and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
