Mrs. Essie N Cogdell of Saint Pauls, NC passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

Family will receive friends at the home.

Viewing will be Friday August 17, 2018 from 1:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.

Homegoing celebration will be at 1:00pm Saturday, August 18, 2018 Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 817 N Old Stage Road, Saint Pauls NC

Burial at Rockfish Cemetery, Fayetteville NC

Essie Neil Cogdell was born to the late James Robinson and Hattie Robinson on July 7, 1926

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry N. Cpgdell; two sons, Larry "Cibby" Cogdell, Jr. and Alton D. Cogdell; three sisters, Dorethea Monroe, Louise Gilmore and Lena Ruth Edwards; four brothers, Perlie Robinson, LeRoy Robinson, Lloyd Robinson and Akier Robinson.

Those left to cherish her memories are: her sister, Blanche Edwards of New York; two grandsons, MSG Nikata (JoAnn) McBryde of Georgia and Lorenza (Petra) Williams of Virginia; two granddaughters, Andradese Rozier of St. Pauls, NC and Venita R. Williams of , St. Pauls, NC; nine great grandchildren, Nakeisha, Yasmine, Antonio, Antwon,Javice,Patrick, Nikata, Lay, Vanessa and Domonic; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
