Delton Renslow Lewis

Mr. Delton Renslow Lewis, 49 of Concord, NC peacefully passed on October 21,2019 at his home.  Funeral services will be Sunday, October 27, 2019, 3:00 p.m. at  Bryant Swamp Missionary Baptist Church, 61 Bryant Swamp Road,  Bladenboro, NC, Dr. Thurman Everett, Pastor.  Burial: Johnson Cemetery, Bladenboro, NC.  The family will receive family and friends at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Lonnie and Marva Currie, 1821 Hwy. 20 E., St. Pauls, NC  28384.

Mr. Delton Renslow Lewis , son of the late Mr. Fern Lewis and the late Mrs. Nancy Johnson Lewis was born in Bladen County, NC on January 16, 1970.  He departed this life on Monday, October 21, 2019 at his home in Concord, NC.

At an early age, Delton joined Bryant Missionary Swamp Baptist Church and served as a youth usher.  He continued to attend church regularly until he moved to Concord, NC.

He attended the schools of Bladen County and graduated from Bladenboro High School.  After graduation, he began work at the Bladenboro Cotton Mill and later transferred to the Cotton Mill in Clarkton, NC.  Upon moving to Concord, he began work at the S & D Coffee Plant.

Delton was married to the late Mrs. Barbara Cox Lewis and with this union he was blessed with three children.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Tameka Davis of Concord, NC; two sons: Bobby Williams (Regina) of Concord, NC and Shaun Williams of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren: Dayton, Savannah, Shelbiegh, Bobbie, Andre, Junior, Kyrie; two brothers:Darnell Lewis (Bernice) and Cecil Lewis of Bladenboro, NC; one sister, Marva L. Currie (Lonnie) of St. Pauls, NC; four aunts; Gwendolyn Nelson, Sadie Freeman (Parst), Lue Bertha McLeod and Susie B. Freeman, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
