Mr. Daniel M. Currie 59 of Fayetteville formerly of St. Pauls, NC passed on March 12, 2019. Funeral services will be Saturday, 3:00 pm at the Pleasant View MB Church, 8354 Barker Ten Mile Rd., St. Pauls, NC. Visitation: Friday 5-7 pm at Pleasant View MB Church. Burial: Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC. The family will will receive family and friends at his Mother's home, Barker Ten Mile Rd., St. Pauls, NC.
Daniel M. Currie entered eternal Peace on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home in Fayetteville, North Carolina
Daniel joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Daniel served in the National Guard from 1981-2005 after which he retired. He was employed with a few different industries, his last being with Goodyear Rubber and Tire until his recent illness.
Daniel was preceded in death by: two brothers, Earl D. Currie and Walter Gaddy; and his father; Vardell Gaddy.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Grace Z. Currie of St. Pauls, NC; his wife, Jackie Currie oan Currie of St. Pauls, NC; three children, Jacquila Currie, Danquis Currie of the home and Stevie Bowden of St. Pauls, NC; five grandchildren, Kenady of the home, Jahmari, Tyjuan, Lyric and Makayla; five sisters, Geneva Currie of Columbia, SC, Debora Wilkerson of Fayetteville, NC, Gracie Lesane (O'Neil) of Durham, NC, Ester Dale Thompson (Dwayne) of Durham, NC and Arnette Jones (John) of Highpoint, NC; eight brothers, Rodney Currie (Janice) of St. Pauls, NC, Patrick Currie (Marena) of St. Pauls, NC, JoNathan Currie (Krysti) of Charoltte, NC, John McMillan of Connecticut, Preston McMillan (Shirley) Pennsylvania, Robert Gaddy of St. Pauls, NC, William Gaddy (Ruth) of St. Pauls, NC and Luther Gaddy (Vicky) of Pennsylvania; mother-in-law, Ms. Hattie Campbell of St. Pauls, NC; two sisters-in-law, Patricia King and Bonnie Leach; four brothers-in-law, Willie Campbell, Ronnie Campbell, D'Ondra Campbell and Randy McGeachy; one aunt, Elouise McAllister; one uncle, Lacy F. Currie; a special best friend, Antionette Weatherspoon of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
