Mr. Quinton J. Council, 41 peacefully passed on July 1, 2019. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 7, 2019, 2:00 pm at Faith Tabernacle Christian Center, 3744 NC 20 Hwy., St. Pauls, NC. Visitation: Saturday, July 6, 2019, 1-6 pm. Burial: First New Light Cemetery, White Oak, NC. Pastor Earl Goins, Officiating. Quinton Jarod Council, affectionately known as "QC" was born December 7, 1977 to Debra Council and Harry Burns.
Quinton graduated from Tar Heel High School and went on to work for Smithfield Foods and pursue a degree in Culinary Arts from Robeson Community College, where he attended until his health declined.
Quinton gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a humble and helpful servant in the Kingdom. He was faithful to the ministry at Faith Tabernacle Christian Center, using his gifts on the AV team and as a drummer. Quinton loved his pastor and would follow him to various ministry appointments, even in a wheelchair.
He loved to cook, clean cars, listen to gospel music, drink coffee and eat sweet cakes.
He was proceeded in death by a son, Quamar Council; grandparents; George and Beulah Burns, James and Carrie Council and Annie Pete Richardson; and a special friend; Herbert "Uno" Carter.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his parents, Debra (Vernon) McCallum and Harry (Stella) Burns, son, Octavious Council; sisters: Vernisha McCallum (Caretaker), Angelika (Jeffery) King, Crystal Royer, and Keisha (Kevin) Jones; Grandfather; Vernon Richardson; nieces;Kendall, Kalani, Kayla and Savannah; nephews: Ahmir, Dominic and Darius; Godparents: Linda and William Douglas and Sharon King; Special Friends: Gregory Underwood and Carol Floyd; and a.host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
