Lattie Sinclair, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Lattie Sinclair, Jr., 75 of St. Pauls peacefully passed on Saturday, November 9, 2019.  Funeral services will be Saturday, November 16, 2019, 11:00 am at Spring Branch A.M.E. Zion Church, 1205 Springs Branch Church Rd., Tar Heel, NC  28392.   Burial:  Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Road, Spring Lake, NC  28390.   Visitation:  Friday 1:00 - 5:00 pm.  The family will receive family and friends at 708 Willow St., St. Pauls, NC  28384.

Mr. Lattie Sinclair, Jr., son of the late Lattie  Sinclair, Sr. and Lillie Mae Currie Sinclair, was born June 15, 1944 in Saint Pauls, North Carolina.  After a hard-fought battle with cancer, God called him home on November 9, 2019 at Southeastern Hospice House, Lumberton, North Carolina.

Lattie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Pauls, NC.  He later became a member of Spring Branch A.M.E. Zion Church in Tar Heel, NC where he served as Chairman of Trustees, Lay Council President, Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School, Men of Zion President and a member of the usher board.  He graduated from Eastside High School in Saint Pauls, North Carolina.  He served our country in the US Army and worked various jobs after returning home including Burlington Industries and Carolina Concrete.

In addition to his parents, Lattie was preceded in death by his granddaughter Miracle N. Crawford; brother Alvester Sinclair and sister Helen Cogdell.

He leaves to cherish many memories: his wife, Mary Sinclair; one sone, Lattie L. Sinclair, III (Maria) of Pineville, NC; five daughters, Esmeralda S. Robinson (Jasper), Yolanda S. Williams (Ricky), Quatina L. Sinclair all of Saint Pauls, NC; Miranda A. Bounds (Shone) of Brandon, Mississippi,and Veronica C. Perry (Mark) of Lancester, SC.  Thirteen grandchildren, Antwan, Steven, Reginald, Danielle (Denzel), Ja'Meka, ShaKira, Brittany, Joi, Anastasia, DeSean, MiKayla, Tatiana and Mason.  Five great grandchildren, Dillon, Alyssa, Shamar, Braylon and Jayden.  One brother; Henry Sinclair of Tar Heel, NC; three sisters, Arline McGirt of Washington, DC, Harriet Gilchrist of Saint Pauls, NC,  Ida Mae McDonald of Brooklyn, NY; four brother-in-law, David King, Memphis King (Mary), George King; three sisters-in-law; Alfredia Manuel, Sally K. McKoy, Shirley Glover (Chester) and a multitude of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
