Mr. Sylvester "Pete" McMillan, 79 of Fayetteville, NC formerly of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Graveside service will be Sunday at 11:00 am at Rockfish Memorial Park, 4017 Gillespie St., Fayetteville, NC. Reverend David Edwards, officiating.

"God's will must be done, however, we know that this is not our abiding place." In his own way and for his own purpose, God has called the spirit of our dearly beloved brother, Sylvester McMillan. We thank, our gracious Lord and Father for him and for his influence for good, which has been like a benediction from above.
Sylvester, known to most as "Pete" entered this life on February 10, 1941 in St. Pauls, North Carolina to the late George Richard McMillan and Rebecca Jane McMillan. He was the fourth child of eight children.
At an early age, he attended First Baptist Church in St. Pauls, North Carolina. He loved fixing and building things. He also had a passion with automotive mechanics. Sylvester gratuated from East Side High School in 1959.
Sylvester "Pete" served this country as a soldier in the United States Army from 1965-1969. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
Sylvester was preceded in death by his father, George Richard McMillan, mother, Rececca J. McMillan, brother, Richard Junior McMillan, and sister Gracie Revis.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Sylvia McMillan; two grandsons, Nygel and Nolan Edmonds; five siblings, Curtis McMillan (Prettie), William McMillan, Marie McMillan, Georgia King (Larkin), Sandra McMillan and a host of nephews, neices, great nephews, great nieces, relatives and friends. Devoted Nephews (Gideon McMillan, Terry McMillan, Henry Revis, Jr.) and devoted nieces (Barbara Wright, Myrel McMillan).
