Ms. Katrina D. Davis, 64 of Tar Heel peacefully passed on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Outside Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 am at Spring Branch A.M.E. Zion, 1205 Spring Branch Rd., Tar Heel, NC.  Reverend Ernest Blizzard, Pastor,  Viewing: Friday 1:00 - 6:00 pm.  Burial:  Washington Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC.

Ms. Katrina Direce Davis "Trina", daughter of the late Joseph Davis, Sr. and Betty Rose King Davis McMillan, was born September 1, 1955 in Lumberton.  She was called from this earthly life on July 29, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Trina accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Pauls, NC.  She later became a member of Spring Branch A.M.E. Zion Church in Tar Heel, NC, where she served as President of the Stewardesses, member of the usher board, Lay Council and adult choir.  She graduated from Magnolia High School in Lumberton, NC.  She moved to Maryland as a young adult, spending many years there prior to her return to NC in the ealy 1990's.  Upon her return she worked mostly as a machine operator in several factories, where she met and made several lasting friendships.  Trina truly loved her family and friends, speaking with most of them daily.  These talks will be missed by many along with her infamous macaroni & cheese and red nail polish.

In addition to her parents: Joseph & Betty, Trina was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Eula Mae King, paternal grandfather, John Davis and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

She leaves to cherish many memories: her significant other of more than 25 years, Henry Sinclair, Sr. of the home; one daughter, Tiwanna Davis of Tar Heel, NC; one granddaughter, NiBria Davis McMillan (Travis) of Hope Mills, NC; two brothers, Joseph Davis, Jr. (Barbara) of Fayetteville, NC; Tommy Lee Cromartie of Baltimore, MD; one great grandson, Jayce Davis McMillan of Hope Mills, NC; one sister, Doris Everett of Red Springs, NC; one goddaughter, Princess Mensah; two godsons she considered as her grandsons, JeBryne Mensah and MaCori Mensah all of Fayetteville, NC; two nephews; Craig Davis (Sabrina) of Midway, GA, Maurice Davis (Jessica) of Indianapolis, IN; two nieces, Latasha Murray (Fredrick) of Red Springs, NC, Malicia Walker (Kelvin) of Mebane, NC; five aunts, Mary Sunclair, Alfredia Manuel, Sally McCoy, Shirley Glover, and Buelah Reid, three uncles, David King, Memphis King (Mary), George King; cousins, Euthenia McDowell; friends, Rosalyn Chase and Carolyn Striblin, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
