Ms. Angie Lynette Brown

Ms. Angie Brown, 55, of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Friday, April 2, 2021.  Funeral services will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 3:00 pm at McKoy & Sons Mortuary, 412 E. Armfield St., St. Pauls, NC.  Viewing:  Friday 1:00 - 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Angie "Kamalah" Lynette Brown was born December 8, 1965 in Passaic County, Paterson, New Jersey.  She entered into eternal rest on April 2, 2021 at home.

She joined First Missionary Baptist Church in St. Pauls, North Carolina where she became a member of the choir.  She also worked for Helping Hands Home Health Care.

Angie was the family Medea that had a free spirit and stuff.  She loved and lived for her only daughter and grandkids.

Angie was preceded in death by her:  mother, Ozell Brown; grandmother's, Annie Ruth Brown and Lena Ruth Edwards; grandfather, Nash Edwards; great grandmother, Maggie Brown; three uncles, Lacy Edwards, Joseph Edwards and Fred Douglas Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories her:  only child, Shante' Brown of New Jersey; fiance,, James McNair of North Carolina; father, James (Teresa) Edwards of North Carolina; longtime companion, Anthony (Puff) McDonald of North Carolina; bonus son, Hasson Brown of New Jersey; two very special grandkids, Ja'Zear McNair and Ja'Ziya Brown both of New Jersey; five bonus grandchildren, Aniyah, Tiajah, Hasson, Jr., Taylor and A'Meer Brown all of New Jersey; one brother, Khaliq (Marion) Muhammad of New Jresey; three sisters, Valentina (MeShawn) Edwards of North Carolina, Tammecca and Tammyra Carter both of New Jersey; five aunts, her favorite auntie, Ruth Ann Stocks of North Carolina, Patricia Edwards of North Carolina, Dorothy Jean, Maggie Ruth Brown and Linda Ann Howell all of Baltimore, Maryland; three uncles, Fred (Yvonne) Edwards, Craig (Phelia) Edwards all of New Jersey and Charles Brown of Baltimore, Maryland; three nieces, Quasheema Odom of Virginia, Briannan Clyburn and Aliyah Muhammad of New Jersey; seven nephews, Tyian Edwards, Khaliq Muhammad, Jr., Shavaar Carter, Khalif Carter, Kazeir Walker all of New Jersey, a very special nephew, David (Pedo) Odom of North Carolina, one great nephew, Amari (Chase) Muhammad; three special friends, Linda Robinson of New Jersey, Lawanna (Wannie) Locklear and Ashley Baxley both of North Carolina; one god sister, Cornelia (Phillip) Rivera of South Carolina; three special cousins, Crashela Stocksof New Jersey, Derrick Stocks and Jerome (Face) McMillian both of North Carolina; and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
