Mrs. Lucy Stephens Obituary

Mrs. Lucy Stephens, 71 of Parkton, NC peacefully passed Tuesday, May 5, 2020.  Graveside services will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Shiloh Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC.  Rev. James McKinnon, Officiating, Rev. David Murphy, Pastor.  Viewing: Friday 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel, practicing social distancing.

Answering the call of the master, Mrs. Lucy Mae Williams Stephens entered into eternity with the Lord, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at home.  Lucy was born on December 11, 1948 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Jasper and Margie L. Williams.

She was preceded in death by husband, Marshall Stephens, her parents, Jasper and Margie Williams, three siblings, H. David and Jasper Williams, Jr., Katie Robinson, and a daughter-in-law, Christina Stephens.

Lucy attended Eastside School.  She joined Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age.  She was a faithful member until her failin health prevented her from attending.

She was joined in marriage to Marshall E. Stephens in 1968 and to this union, two children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Edison Rodale and Marshall Junior Stephens of Parkton, North Carolina, four sisters, Corine Shaw, Mary Williams, of Rex, North Carolina, Betty S. Williams and Dorothy Stephens of St. Pauls, North Carolina, five brothers-in-law, John H. Robinson of St. Pauls, Lee (Laura) Stephens of St. Pauls, Delanie (Brenice) Stephens of Charlotte, NC, David Earl (Faye) Stephens of St. Pauls, NC, Charles McNeill of Fayetteville, NC, four sisters-in-law, Alice (Ben) Franklin of Fayetteville, NC, Pamela (Wayne) Carter of Florida, Quessie Hines of Raeford, NC, Vicky Bridges of Rex, NC, one aunt, Tiny McNair of St. Pauls, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
