Mrs. Karen A. Bullard, 60 of St. Pauls peacefully passed on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 8354 Barker Ten Mile Rd., St. Pauls, NC, Viewing: Friday 1-6 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Martin Road, St. Pauls, NC.
Mrs. Karen Annette Currie Bullard was called from this earthy life for eternal life on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.
Karen joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Karen graduated from St. Pauls High School in 1979 where she was a basketball player and was known for her humbleness and kind spirit. After graduating high school, Karen became employed with Burlington Industries for many years. She graduated from Robeson Community College in 1999 with an Associate's degree in Applied Science. Karen was currently employed with Wendy's Restaurant where she had several jobs from sandwich artist to General Manager.
Karen was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend to all that knew her.
Karen was preceded in death by her son; Chaquan Ontreese Bullard, grandson; Xavier French Currie, and her mother Helen Christine Sinclair-Currie.
Karen leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, John c> Bullard, Jr., two daughters, LaKisha A. Currie and Octavia S. Bullard of Cary, NC; and her father, Lacy F. Currie of St. Pauls, NC. Three sisters; Francine Currie, Shelba (Thomas) Rush, and Angelar (Cedric) Thompson all of St. Pauls, NC. Two grandsons; Jasper (Trey) Currie-Hurst and Titonia (TR) Hemingway, and one special niece Chiquita Currie-Nibbs (Mike) of Hope Mills, NC.
Two brothers-in-law; Richard (Brenda) Bethea, Fayetteville, NC and Archie Bullard of St. Pauls, NC. Two sisters-in-law; Pastor Bettie Bethea of St. Pauls, NC, Cathy (John) Rollins of Georgia, two aunts; Grace Z. Currie, Elouise McAllister and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends..
