Mrs. Betty Lee (Humphrey) Dorman

Mrs. Betty Lee Humphrey Dorman, 80 of Palmetto, Florida formerly of St. Pauls peacefully passed on Monday, December 28, 2020.  Graveside service will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Hwy. 20, St. Pauls, NC.  Viewing will be at 10:00 AM (an hour before the service) Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Oak Ridge Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC.

On Monday, December 28, 2020, Betty Lee Humphrey-Dorman was called from her earthly journey, into a new life with God.  Betty Lee who was known by everyone as "Betty Boo" was born on May 1, 1940.  Betty left North Carolina when she eighteen and eventually settle into life to New York City as a home attendant for a while, but in 2008 she moved to Florida with her son.

Betty was preceded in death by: her parents, Howard and Magedalene Humphrey; her husband, Ralph Dorman; and brothers, Harold, JohnL. (Celeste) and Waddell Humphrey.

She leaves behind to cherish her spirit and memories: her only son, Adris (Dendrale) Humphrey of NC; sisters, Addie Lee Regan of Lumberton, NC, Annie Ruth of Manhattan, NY, Roberta of Boston, MA and her twin Betty Lou of St. Pauls, NC; brothers, James Lewis of Patterson, NJ and Novell of Tar Hill, NC; grandsons, Avian (Haywanisha), Adai, Airon and Aiden; great granddaughters, Ahnis, Aiyanna and Avah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty Boo will always be remembered for her gentle soul and her love for dancing.  In fact, she was known as the "Dancing Queen" in her senior community.  Betty Boo dance moves and big smile would light up any room.  She will be greatly missed by the staff and residents of Casa Mora Rehab in Bradenton.
