Mr. Michael Smith, 34 of St. Pauls peacefully passed on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Funeral service will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Greater Mt. Calvary Church, 3289 Barlow Rd. Parkton, NC. Visitation will be Thursday 1:00 - 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Community Rest Cemetery, 1125 Balfour Road, Red Springs, NC. The family will receive family and friend at 537 Smokey Mountain Drive, Raeford, NC.

Michael Darrell Smith also known as Poohdaddy was born on March 16, 1986 to Lisa Ann Smith & The Late Alex David Williams in Cumberland County. He departed his life February 24, 2021. He attended St. Pauls and Red Springs High School and later received his GED.
He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Michael's grin/smile would turn any "NO" into a yes. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always believed that Family was First. Driving was his specialty and if you needed a driver he was the one to call. He was loved and cherished by so many. He will be missed by all but certainly not forgotten. His favorite saying was "Don't do that that's a sin".
Michael Darrell Smith leaves behind to cherish his memories; One son, Michael Smith and Two daughters, Kawandaisa Smith and Tatyanna Smith all of Parkton, NC. He also leaves behind four sisters, Shonta McKoy of Lumberton, NC, Erika Williams of St. Pauls, NC, Shonta W. McIntyre (Donald Jr.) of Lumber Bridge, NC, Lakisha W. Gaddy (Jaquell) of Raeford, NC, Two brothers who proceed him in death; Jamaze Smith and Howard Williams. Memories will furthermore be cherished by a special aunt Regina Williams of Maxton, NC. Special Uncle Matthew Bethea, Nine cousins who were more like siblings Samantha McKoy, Octavia Smith, Issac Williams, Jermaine Williams, Jamel Smith, Deangelo Cobb, Antonio Cobb, Leon Scott and Nathaniel Scott.
He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles as well as other relatives and friends. Also a special friend Jada Hunt. In our hearts he will forever remain. There will never be a day he is not thought of.
