Mr. John S. Malloy, 63 peacefully passed on Monday, February 1, 2021. Graveside service will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Shilod Cemetery, McRainey Rd., St. Pauls, NC. Visitation: Wednesday 1-6 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. John Samuel Malloy was born October 3, 1957 in Hope County, North Carolina to the late Ora Lee Malloy and John Galberth. On Monday, February 1, 2021 he entered into his heavenly rest at Southeastern Hospital, Lumberton, North Carolina.
John was a graduate of the class of 1977 of Hoke County High School. He worked at Croft Metals for 30 years and Quality Concrete 14 years until his health failed.
John was preceded in death by: his mother, Ora Lee Malloy; father, John Galberth; sister, Doris Melvin; and mother-in-law, Sadie Stephens.
John leaves to cherish: his beloved faithful and caring wife, Michelle Malloy that stuck by his side for a total of 33 years and married for 23 years; five daughters, Shybrea Stephens, Latasha Harris (Yahonsa, Sr.) of Killen, TX, Sharonda Gilchrist and Kashelila Malloy both of Red Springs, NC; eight grandchildren, Kilanij, Quintin, Yahonsa, Jr., Brielle (Bubbles) Braedyn, (Jawbone) Jakoby, Jamarion and Nyla; two special grandchildren, Emily and Brayden; three sisters, Vastine Harvey, JohnnieBell Faison and Mamie Lee Lugo; eight brothers, James Malloy (Helen), Larry Malloy (Virgina Sue), Ronnie Malloy (Annette), Charles Galberth (Tina), Jack Galberth and John Love (larissa); one uncle, James Galberth (Stella); two special uncles, Pastor James McKinnon (Mary) and Deacon Warren McKinnon; three aunts, Martha Beatty, Theolder Malloy and Minnie Thomas; seven brothers-in-law, Bernard (Wahana) Warren, Andrew Stephens, Harry McKinnon (Eva), Jeffery Melvin (Cathy), George Melvin, Jr., Gary McGoughan (Valerie) and Kenny Melvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
