James "BoPete" Eric Edwards was born on June 13, 1944 in St. Pauls, North Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2021 at South Eastern Regional Hospital.
James went to school in St. Pauls and afterwards moved to New Jersey, where he worked at GreenBaum Brothers Moving Company for many years.
James was a godly man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. For all that really knew him and his day to day routine, it was a simple cup of coffee - two Splenda with cream, Newport 100s and slot machines. Of course all the memories of Jersey couldn't go away.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Lena Ruth and Nash Edwards; daughter, Angie Brown and two brothers, Lacy and Joseph Edwards.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Teresa Edwards of St. Pauls, North Carolina; one son, Khaliq (Marion) Muhammad of New Jersey; three daughters, Valentina (Meshawn) Edwards of North Carolina, Tammecca and Tammyra Carter both of New Jersey; two sisters, Patricia Edwards and Ruth Ann Stocks both of North Carolina; two brothers, Fred (Yvonne) Edwards and Craig (Phelia) Edwards both of New Jersey; four granddaughters, Shante Brown of New Jersey, Quasheema Odom of Virginia, Briannah Clayburn and Aliyah Muhammad of New Jersey, six grandchildren, Tyian Edwards of New Jersey, David (pedo) Odom of North Carolina, Khaliq Muhammad, Jr., Shauaar Carter, Khalif Carter and Kazeir Walker all of New Jersey; three great grandchildren, Jazear McNair, Ja'Ziya Brown and Amari Muhammad all of New Jersey; and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
