Mr. Clarence Odom, Sr., 70 of St. Pauls peacefully passed on Monday, December 28, 2020. Graveside services will be held on Sunday January 03, 2021 at Beauty Spot Church Cemetery in Rowland N.C. at 1pm. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 1pm to 5 pm at Mckoy and Sons Mortuary.

On Monday, December 28, 2020 our beloved Clarence quietly transitioned from this life to eternal rest at his home in the presence of his family. Clarence was born February 3, 1950 in Rowland, NC to the late Adaline and James Odom, Sr. He was raised in a loving home and educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County. He continued his education at Roberson Technical College in Lumberton, NC. Clarence was a dedicated and hard worker, having worked for Textile Fabric, Cooks Department Store, Alamance Knit, Jensen and DOT until he retired.
Clarence joined First Baptist Church, Lumberton, NC at a young age where he was a faithful member until his health started to decline. He served on the Board of Trustees, The Gus Bullard Men's Choir, The E.B, Turner Gospel Choir and a member of the Layman League. On December 1St, 1973, Clarence was united in Holy Matrimony to his loving wife Lynda McLean Odom. To this union they were blessed with four children,
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Adaline Odom, two brothers James Odom, Jr. and Joseph Odom, two sisters, Patricia Cassell and his twin sister Clara Newkirtk.
There are many left to mourn his passing and cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Lynda Odom; one daughter, Vanessa Odom of Raeford, NC; three sons, ClarenceOdom, Jr. of High Point, NC; Michael (Tiffany) Odom of Sama, Japan; and Thomas Odom of the home; seven grand-children, Miyah, Michelle, Tyla, Madison, Aja, Mauri and Zyree: two great grandchildren, Amo and Princeton; four brothers, Moses and David Odom of Greensboro, NC, Alexander and Matthew of Rowland, NC; three sisters, Joyce Dennis of New York, NY, Elizabeth (Charles) Odom of Fairmont, NC and Ruth Smith of Atlanta, Ga; one aunt; one uncle; three brother-in-law; four sister-in-laws and a host nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends and a special caretaker Rosie Hunt.
