Mr. Amos Tolson, Jr., 73 of Georgia formerly of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at The Tolson Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC. Viewing: Saturday 1-6 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Amos was a friend to all and never met a stranger. His smile could brighten a room and his stories would entertain for hours. He lived his life to the fullest and he was free.
Amos grew up in St. Pauls, North Carolina and was drafted into the United States Army, where he served proudly in Vietnam.
He was joined in marriage to Betty McCoy Langley from 1966-1987 and later moved to Georgia to be with his family.
On Tuesday, September 28, after a long battle with sickness, he made his spiritual transition.
He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Tolson, Sr.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Tolson and two brothers, Harold Tolson and James Alvin Tolson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Sonni Ayaba-Tolson Rhone (Christopher), Dr. Chasity Tolson Corey (Terrell) both of Georgia and Shanetta Aquillard (Kerry) of Texas; five grandchildren, Njeri Black (Lee), Zahara Langley, Marlon T. Corey II, Tyler M. Corey and Nevaeh Langley all of Georgia; two sisters, Vivicous Tolson Wayne and Swendolyn
