Lee Edward McLean, also known as “Pe We”, was born May 11, 1964 in Southeastern General Hospital in Lumberton, North Carolina and entered into rest at the home of his sister, Sara Taylor along with his sister, Armatha Davis by his side. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Gracie McLean; sister, Mary Alford; two brothers, Willie Ray Robinson and William Earl McLean; niece, Cassandra McLean; his grandparents, Amos and Lela,
Lee was raised in Floyd’s Temple #1 Church as a young child. Lee was a hard and dedicated worker on all his jobs. His last job was at Cracker Barrel in Lumberton, North Carolina, where he worked eight years until his health began to fail. Lee received his education while attending Robeson County Schools. He graduated from Littlefield High in 1983. Lee had many gifts and talents. He enjoyed working in the garden, decorating and his passion was writing poetry. Lee leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Armatha Davis of Kinston, North Carolina and Sara Taylor of Lumberton, North Carolina; a brother, Edmond McLean, Jr of Loris, South Carolina; two aunts, Mary Murphy (Archie) of Loris, South Carolina, and Armatha Robinson of Lumberton, North Carolina; two uncles, Foster Whitted of Montgomery, Alabama and Jimmy Thompson of Loris, South Carolina; two nieces, Jacqueline Alford of Columbia, South Carolina and Bianca Davis of Kinston, North Carolina; three nephews, Dan Robinson of Loris, South Carolina, Courtney Davis (Chablis) of Tacoma Park, Maryland and Joshua Alford, Jr. of Conway, South Carolina; three great nieces, Graceona McLean of Lumberton, North Carolina, Kierra and Timmia Lawson of Kinston, North Carolina; three great nephews, Jelaun Lewis of Kinston, North Carolina, Hezekiah and Joseph McLean of Lumberton, North Carolina; a great great nephew, Grayson Shaw of Lumberton, North Carolina; and a goddaughter, Leshekia Johnson of Greensboro, North Carolina; along with a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
