Deborah Mcleod Obituary

Deborah Montgomery McLeod, daughter of Lessie Mae Montgomery Robinson, departed her life on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at her home in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Saint Pauls High School and graduated in 1976. Deborah went on to further her education at Roberson Community College and later took courses in Psychology at Notre Dame College in South Euclid,  Ohio.

Deborah started her career by working at the public  library in Saint Pauls. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1986 and became an administrative assistant in the department of Dermatology at the VA Medical Center. Deborah later ended up working for the United States Postal Service where she would end up retiring.

Deborah was a social butterfly and the life of the party. She made it her mission to help anyone she could that needed a helping hand. Whether it meant cooking a meal, sharing a laugh or just being that listening ear on the other end of the phone for her family, friends or daughters. Deborah would give her last to anyone if she knew it meant they would have a place to stay or food to eat. Her infectious smile and laugh will stay in our hearts and memories forever.

Deborah is preceded in death by her mother, Lessie Mae Montgomery Robinson; sister, Denise Wilkerson and grandparents, Hattie Bell and James Montgomery.

She leaves behind her loving memories to: her three daughters, Tiffany, Stephanie and Ebony McLeod of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandchildren (who acknowledged her as “Glama”); three sisters, Stacy Biggs of Georgia, Lisa (O’Neal) Hunter of North Carolina and Olivia Robinson of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Howard Denis and Melvin Robinson of Washington, D.C.; one aunt, Shirley Montgomery; four uncles, Haywood, William, Lavern and Cleveland Montgomery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
