Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones, Son of the late Ella Mae Jones and Frank Jones  was born on January 05, 1950 in Robeson County, North Carolina.  He transitioned this life on April 26, 2023. He is preceded in death by  his brothers Buddy Jones and James Jones. 

Curtis Jones graduated from East Side High School, St. Pauls, North  Carolina in 1969. Curtis was a people-person- who loved spending  time with family, watching Gun Smoke, and in his youth, he enjoyed  coaching softball and riding motorcycles. He especially enjoyed  cruising in his “Old School Caddy.” Curtis was a member of Mt.  Zion Holiness Church of St. Pauls, North Carolina. He retired from  Smithfield. 

Curtis Jones leaves to cherish memories: his life partner, Lola  McArthur; four daughters, Angela (Kelvin) McArthur of Raeford,  NC, Cassandra Lewis of Lumberton, NC, Samantha Jones  of Washington, DC and LaChocolate (Boomer) McArthur of  Lumberton NC; four sons, Curtis (Runeisha) Jones Jr. of St. Pauls  NC, Dean (Angela) Robertson of Raleigh NC, Larry (Ruth) Glover  and Nathaniel (Kendrea) Cromartie of Virginia; he also leaves to  cherish 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters,  Caroline (James) Kelly, Frances McArthur and Thaline (Ronald)  Dunham all of St. Pauls, NC; four brothers, Robert (Betty) Jones of  Pembroke, NC, Sylvester Jones, John (Barbara) Jones and Edward  E. (Cynthia) Jones all of St. Pauls NC; four sisters-in-laws, Jennette  Jones of Grays Creek, NC, Elouise Jones of Fremont NC, Cynthia  (Tony) Spurling and Sandra (Chukwuemeka) Nnachor both of  Houston, TX. Thanks, special to his great niece, Jeneen, Fredarika  and Juantina; Lee, Ronald and Sam and the world’s greatest nieces  and nephews, family, and friends.
