Mrs. Veronica W. Wells Ellison, 61, peacefully passed on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Memorial Service will be 2:00 Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Little Marsh Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Martin Luther King Drive, St. Pauls, NC. Reverend Paul Sewell, Pastor.
Veronica Wells Ellison, "Ronica" as she was affectionally known,was born in Fayetteville, NC on December 31, 1957. She was the daughter of the late John "Teddy" Wells and Ivory Pernell Wells. Veronica Started her Christian journey at Pleasant Grove Disciple Church of Christ in Fayetteville, NC. Later in years she became a faithful member of Little Marsh Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in St. Pauls, NC.
Veronica graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 1976. She continued her education receiving a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Fayetteville State University and a Masters from Webster University in counseling. She worked in the Mental Health field and was a licensed clinicial addition specialist prior to her health issues.
Veronica raised 3 beautiful gaughters: Nicki, Renee and Sharonda. She was united in matrimony to Larry Ellison, February 14, 1996 and he stood by her side faithfully. On Wednesday evening, September 4, God needed another beautiful angel and called her home. She knew her work here on earth was done.
Veronica lived her best life with no regrets. A God fearing woman, whose light shined so bright regardless what life threw at her. She never met a stranger and after any encounter she was sure to leave an imprint on your heart. Veronica always said "give people their flowers while their living, they can't appreciate ti when their gone.
She will forever be loved by her husband: Larry Ellison of St. Pauls, NC; children: Lt. Col. Marquita "Nicki" Price (Grant) of Fayetteville, NC, Lovonna "Renee" Rogers (Steven) of Jeffersonville, IN and Shavonda Wells of Charleson, SC. Her siblings: Johnnie Belinda Dubois (Eddie) of Durham, NC, Pepper Reaves (Tim) of Eden, NC, Cheryl White of Kannapolis, NC, Kenneth Wells and Yvette Walker both of Fayetteville, NC, her grandchildren: Michael, Ethan and Sian Rogers of Jeffersonville, IN and Jonathan, Kayla and Lauren Price of Fayetteville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sandra Peterson.
