Vastie Robinson Obituary

Mrs. Vastie R. Robinson 93, passed on March 1, 2019.  Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12:00 noon from the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2917 E. Great Marsh Church Road, St. Pauls, NC. Reverend Mark D. Powell, Pastor, Officiating. Burial: Pleasant Grove MB Cemetery, St. Pauls, NC. Visitation: Friday, March 8,2019, 1:00 - 6:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at 1656 Great Marsh Church Road, St. Pauls, NC.

Mrs. Vastie R. Robinson was born September 19, 1925 in Robeson County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Robert and Sallie Rozier.

She ascended to eternal life peacefully on March 1, 2019.

She attended the public schools of Robeson County. She was employed by Macy's Department Store for over thirty (30) years.

She accecpted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was an active servant until she relocated. After moving to Hackensack, New Jersey, she united with New Hope Baptist Church where she served faithfully. Upon moving back to North Carolina she reunited with Pleasant Grove. Satan was defeated once again as she lived each day by faith.

She fell in love and married George Robinson. Their marriage were blessed with two beautiful children.

She was preceded in death by: three sisters, Betty A. Graham, Madge Rozier and Clara Towles; two brothers, Robert Rozier and Caris Rozier.

She leaves a legacy of memories to be shared and cherished with: son, George Robinson (Alice) of New Bern, NC; daughter, Rose Marie Brown of Hackensack, NJ; grandsons, Roy L. Brown, III of Las Vegas, NV and Ryan Brown (Kitta) of New Jersey; granddaughter, Nzinga Cooper of New Bern, NC; sister, Lelia Lawrence of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Selma Rozier of St. Pauls, NC; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
