Trevon M. Pone-Grimes, 25 passed on May 8, 2019.  Funeral service will be Saturday, May 18, 2019, 11:00 a,m. at Second New Light MB Church, 3225 Purdie Hall Rd., St. Pauls, NC, Viewing: Friday 1:00 - 7:00. Burial: Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Fayetteville, NC. Elder Patricia R. Melvin, Officiating, Pastor Joe L. Priest, Eulogist. The family will receive family and friends at his mother's home: 5404 Chickenfoot Rd., St. Pauls, NC 28384.

Trevon Marquis Pone-Grimes was born January 20, 1994, to Rochelle Pone and William (Billy) Grimes, Jr., at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina and departed his life Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital.

Trevon attended Bladen County Public Schools in his early years and attended and graduated from Grays Creek High School in Cumberland County. He was a dedicated son, father, brother and friend. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

Trevon worked at C & S Construction, Aberdeen, North Carolina. He worked hard to ensure that his family was well taken care of. He had an enormous heart and would give his last to see others happy.

Ronald L. Whitted, Maternal grandfather preceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents, Rochelle Pone of St. Pauls, NC and William (Billy) Grimes, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Lauren and London Washington of Elizabethtown, NC; two brothers, Anterrio Pone-Grimes of the home and Deion Gilchrist of St. Pauls, NC; two sisters, Jayla Grimes and Kayden Grimes of Greensboro, NC; materal grandmother, Edna Whitted of St. Pauls, NC; paternal grandparents, William and Ernestine Grimes of Tar Heel, NC; one aunt, Tonya Grimes Eckies (Ricky) of High Point, NC; one uncle, Marcus Pone of St. Pauls, NC; a special great aunt Joanna Richardson; a special cousin, Shakiyla Murphy of Houston, Texas; Charmaine Washington (the loving mother of his daughters) of Elizabethtown, NC; a special childhood friend, Tevin Lesane and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
