Tamara Lashelle Mitchell

Ms. Tamara Lashell Mitchell, 34 of Tar Heel, NC peacefully passed on Thursday, November 21, 2019.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 11:00 am at Clarks Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 14743 Hwy. 87, Tar Heel, NC.  Visitation: Monday 1 - 6 pm, the family will meet with friends 5:00 - 6:00 pm at the McKoy & Sons Mortuary Chapel.  Burial: James Richardson Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC.  The family is receiving family and friends at 724 Chicken Foot Rd., Tar Heel, NC.

Ms. Tamara Lashelle Mitchell was born July 20, 1985 in Lumberton, North Carolina to Gregory D. Mitchell and Percresa R. Mitchell.  She attended and joined Clark's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.  She departed from this life on November 21, 2019 in Lumberton, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Gregory D. Mitchell; grandparents, James and Annie L. Richardson and Bernice Mitchell-Munn.

Tamara attended and completed her education through the Public Schools of Bladen County.

Tamara will always be remembered as a joyous soul.  Her smile could light up an entire room.  Her laughter was so contagious that she could change the atmosphere anywhere.  She had a strong love for music and the right song could create a kinetic energy to all she encountered.  Tamara will always be remembered as the strongest of the group.  Her challenges never stopped her.  The bond shared with her nieces and nephews was unbreakable and unstoppable but most of all, cherished.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her mother, Percresa of the home; one brother, James (Sheral) of Hampton, VA; three sisters, Kalia (Robert) of Tar Heel, NC, Gretchen (Antonio) of Hope Mills, NC and DeCarla (Tawan) of Salisbury, NC; eleven nieces and nephews, Tiara, Ellania, Dallaz, DWayne, TaShawn, Damond, Donavon, Dawan, Addison, Nevaeh and Caleb; Aunt Myra; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
