Mack Pone

Mr. Mack Pone 86 of Tar Heel, NC passed Sunday, January 6, 2019.  Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 12, 2019 from the Willis Creek A.M.E. Zion Church, 3617 Turner Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Reverend Delilah Washington-Gaddy, Pastor, Officiating. Visitation, Friday 1:00-5:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at Minister Mary Grant home 637 Spring Branch Rd., Tarheel, NC

Mr. Mack Pone was born October 28, 1932 to the late Abe Pone and Louvenia McNatt Pone in Cumberland County, North Carolina.

Mr. Mack was raised by parents who knew God and valued Family. They instilled those ideals in their children. This led Mack to join Willis Creek A.M.E. Zion Church at a young age. During those early years, one of Mack's jobs was church custodian. Mack learned at an early age the value of work and for many years he worked to better his and his family's life.

Mr. Mack enjoyed and he wanted the people around him to enjoy life. He had a sense of humor that drew people to him but he did not shy away from speaking his mind. He had a great love for family and he treated each one of his many nieces and nephews with the same love and warmth. He will truly be missed by all.

Mr. Mack leaves to cherish precious memories: two sisters, Georgiana Pone of Tar Heel, NC and Irene Spearman of Hope Mills, NC: a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
