Ms. Georgiana Pone 100 of St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Visitation will be Friday 1:00-5:00. Funeral Saturday, April 20, 2019 12:00 noon at Willis Creek A.M.E. Zion Church, 3614 Turner Road, Fayetteville, NC. Reverend Delilah Washington-Gaddy, Pastor. Burial: Willis Creek A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, NC. The family will receive family and friends at Mrs. Irene Spearman, Hope Mills, NC.

Ms. Georgiana Pone was born August 8, 1918 to the late Abe and Louvenia McNatt Pone in Cumberland County, North Carolina. Georgiana was schooled in Cumberland County, then moved to Philadelphia, Pa. at an early age. Before moving, she became a member of Willis Creek AME Zion Church where she became President of the Usher Board.

While in Philadelphia, Georgiana worked as a housekeeper for the Senior Citizens for many years and was very dedicated to her clients. She was willing to do anything to make them happy. At the same time, she was also a mother to her sister, nieces and nephews. After many years in Philadelphia, she returned home to take care of her mother and other family members. Georgiana was always a wonderful caregiver. Georgiana was employed by Len-How Corp. for over ten years. She continued to be a dedicated and faithful member in the church where she was a "Life Member". Georgiana was very involved in the church until her health declined. Even after her health declined, she continued to keep the spirit of praise and worship that she always possessed.

Aunt Georgiana was the "Pillow of the Family".

Ms. Georgiana leaves to cherish precious memories: One Sister, Irene Spearman of Hope Mills, NC; One God-Daughter, Cornelia Forte of Fayetteville, NC; Two special caregivers, Shelia Spearman of Hope mills, NC and Mary Grant of Tarheel, NC; A host of nieces (great and great-great) along with many cousins and friends. And special acknowledgements to Primary Health Choice of St. Pauls, NC and Fayetteville, NC.
