Elouise Jordon Obituary

Mrs. Elouise Jordon, 89, St. Pauls, NC peacefully passed on Tuesday, October 2, 2019.  Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Clark's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church,  14743 NC Highway 87 West, Tar Heel, NC 28392.  Burial:  Grimes Cemetery, Tar Heel, NC.  Visitation:  Saturday 1-6 pm.  The family will receive family and friends at 280 Grimes Singletary Rd., Tar Heel, NC  28392.

A Time To Be Born

   Elouise "Bonnie" Guions Jordan was born July 22, 1930 to Annie G. Washington and John Whitted.  She was reared by Claud and Mary E. Guions in Tar Heel, NC.  She was preceded in death by both parents and Six sisters:  Celia Clark, Minnie Rozier, Thelma Rozier, Annie Riggins, Shirlene Guions, Pauline Brown and Two brothers:  Grover Guions and Freddie Guions.

A Time To Die 

    On Wednesday, October 2, 2019 our Heavenly Father called her name and she answered quietly and peacefully as she went from earthly labor to receieve her Heavely Reward.

A Time To Love

    She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Freddie E. Jordan on July 19, 1979 in La Plata, MD.  Mr. Jordan preceded her in daeth.

A Time To Labor

    She was a graduate of Bladen County Training School in 1948.  She futhered her education in the Maryland Washington, DC area where she received a technicial degree as a Licensed Pratical Nurse.  She was employed at Columbia Hospital for Women from 1957 - 1987, where she retired after 30 years of dedicated service.

A Time To Serve

    At an early age, she joined Clarks Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in which she returned to after retirement.  She served faithfully and deligently in many capacities.  As the Bible tell of women who were strong, whose love of God and Family stirred their actions all life long with patience, loyalty and love, this too describes our dear mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She Leaves To Cherish Her Memories

    A God Son Jerome L. Purdie, Jr. and Niece Doretha Whitted of home; one sister Betty (Woddell) Thompson of St. Pauls, NC and a host of nieces and nephews, family and special friends.
