Burial :  Clarks Chapel Cemetery

Mr. Ed Purdie, Jr "Red" was preceeded in death by his parents: Ed and Estella Purdie, his wife Ola Mae Purdie, his son Lorenzo Purdie, sister Mammie Hill; brothers: Alfonzo Purdie, Anselow Purdie, Phil Purdie, James Purdie and Thomas Lee Purdie.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Loving sons James Purdie, Daniel Purdie, Curtis Purdie, Frank Purdie; sisters: Addie Wright, Mary Washington, Maggie Washington, Juanita Riggins; brothers: Willie Elbert (Patricia) Purdie, Theodore (Rudy) Lewis; sister-in-laws: Geneva Purdie, Lola Mae Drye; 25 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; loving devoted niece Lizzie Mae Best; loving and devoted great-nephew Jevon "Reese" Purdie; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
