Carolyn Jean (Drye) Kelly

Carolyn Jean Drye Kelly passed Saturday, December 22, 2018.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2018, 2:00 pm from Plain Truth Holiness Church, Highway 20, Saint Pauls, North Carolina, Elder Joe Priest, officiating. The family will receive family and friends at her mother's home, 722 Page Lake Rd., St. Pauls, NC.

Carolyn Kelly was the daughter of Lalla Mae Drye and the late Eli Drye. On Saturday, December 22, 2018 she heard the Master's call of "Come unto to me all ye who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" and she quietly slipped away.

In order to provide a better life for herself, she held a job position at Smithfield Packing in Tar Heel, NC. She attended school in Bladen County, North Carolina.

She was preceeded in death by her father and two brothers, Joe Drye and Gary Drye of Bladen County, North Carolina.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: son, Dexter Drye (Nichole) of Saint Pauls, NC, eight granchildren, Ashley Drye, Kelly Baldwin, Carolyn Drye, Bettina McBryde, Jasmine Drye, Paris Brown, Jayden Drye and Cassidy Drye; ten great grandchildren, Jalik, Ka'veyah, Josiah, Camillie, Rowan, Amirah, Ka'Zirah, Khi'yana and Ja'leeyah; three nieces, Quantina Hunter; two great nephews, Keante Godwin and Kelonte Godwin and a host of relatives and friends.
